Eduardo da Silva expected to play for Arsenal next season

As I have posted earlier on this blog, Brazilian born Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva is out for the rest of the English Premier League season (which isn't for long as the season ends this weekend--Manchester United has already been crowned champion).

However, Arsenal has announced today that the injury-plagued player should be fit for the beginning of next season which starts in August. This would mean that Eduardo da Silva will be ready to play for Croatia in September as the Croatians face England in an extremely important World Cup qualifying match in London. Eduardo will miss Croatia's qualifying match against Ukraine on June 6 because he still recovering from a recent thigh strain.

"Eduardo underwent simple revision surgery on his left ankle earlier today," Arsenal said on their website (www.arsenal.com). "The operation went well and Eduardo will follow a dedicated rehabilitation programme throughout June."

According to the Arsenal website, he is expected to return to full training in the pre-season.
